Learn About The Electrolytic Polishing Process Of Stainless Steel Storage Tanks

Due to the particularity of stainless steel, the construction of stainless steel storage tanks is also different from that of carbon steel and low-alloy steel storage tanks, and there are other requirements in terms of polishing and rust prevention. Therefore, many customers of storage tanks choose to use electropolishing (stainless steel electropolishing liquid) process to deal with polishing and rust prevention.

The electrolytic polishing process is to fix the stainless steel storage tank to be polished on the hanger, then turn on the electrolytic polishing equipment, adjust the power supply voltage at the same time, and then immerse the fixed stainless steel parts in an electrolytic solution that is energized and heated to about 60 degrees. In the liquid, the general time is 3 minutes. After the surface is bright, take out the workpiece and rinse it clean.

Features: High polishing efficiency, good quality, high gloss can be cast within minutes. The deformation layer dislocation on the metal surface can be dissolved first, and the holes accumulate the equipotential structure, so as to obtain the equipotential surface, which greatly enhances the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. Polishing requires devices such as voltage regulators, rectifiers, electrolyzers, etc.

Usage: use the original solution, the cliché is used as the cathode (negative electrode), the workpiece is used as the anode (positive electrode), the temperature is 60-80 degrees, the current density is 15-50 ampere square decimeter, the voltage is about 10 volts, and the time is 5 minutes. Process flow: chemical degreasing→hot water washing→cold washing→electropolishing→hot water washing→cold washing→passivation→cold washing→hot water washing→hot pure water washing Note: Some technological processes can be adjusted according to the actual situation.
